Woke up at 10. Decided to go back to sleep since I wasn’t going to math. Woke up at 2. Honestly I decided to play video games since I was so unmotivated. Sooo bad. Went to choir practice at 5. Went to vallarta’s with beny at 9. Hung out at TGIF with KP. Bought another bottle of dragonberry. It was on sale for 10.50 though so I was very happy. Went to the third/first year bonding party. Hmm before that I went to Diana’s place. Honestly when I got to the party I took like 8 shots consecutively and I got crossed so bad. My friend were just taking care of me for like 2 hours. I just needed to sit down though. Mmm They brought me back to the dorm and I ate the rest of my carne asada fries. 4:44 AM.

It was a fun day. Woke up at 11. Went to Tanghalian. Chatted with friends. Kept spacing out though. Met up with my bestfriend after not seeing her face for almost 6 months. Haha. Seriously though…did I get taller or what? Went to the Bistro and ate yummy food like I told you. Took the shuttle back across campus in less than six minutes. :P And said our see ya laters. What kind of surprised me was that Jesly, Cleveen and Serina were visiting today also. So I had to go the bistro AGAIN. I just ate another roll of sushi for dinner though. Then I gave them a short tour of campus. Mainly I just showed them the view from Geisel and the full graffiti hall. They went home. I went to my mentoring meeting, the last one of the year. Went back to the dorm. Realized that my quiz was pushed back to next monday because of the holiday this week so I was kind of mad because that would mean I could’ve gone home today. Well it was too late for that so I just tried studying, but I really couldn’t concentrate because I had no drive since everything was next week. So I just chilled with friends.

Woke up at 11. Planned my classes. Registered for the rest of my classes. Went to math. I needed to fix some stuff happening with my math TA so I skipped physics. Office hours were closed so I just ate lunch and practiced for the talent show. My roommates and I decided to sing a sing last minute for the talent show in addition to our first year act. Practice practice practice. Performed. People happy yada yada. First and Fourth years tied for 1st in the competition. We really won though, we just let the 4th years tie with us. Had a first year meeting/talk and stuff got pretty serious. Went home. Literally, to drop off the pie that I bought for them and talk to the family for a bit. 2:16AM

Woke up at 7. Decided not to go to ECE because the last two lectures have been a complete waste of time. Felt so rested when I woke up again. Did stuff, took my chinese placement interview. My (hopefully) future professor is really nice and sweet. Went back to the dorm. Ate lunch with Kevin and Reina. Went back to the dorm with Reina. I tried studying for ECE. I brought my laptop to the lounge and I took out the battery without realizing I forgot to plug the connected adapter in. I guess it ended up doing something bad to my computer because I can’t run it in full windows mode or else it stops responding so I have to run it in safe mode until I finish the quarter off -___- because I have no time to send it in to repair it. Finished my lab report and did my studying in the math computer lab. Took my quiz. Probably failed it again. I had almost no idea what to do. I’m gonna start to go to tutoring finally on Thursday. Tried fixing my computer after that and gave my Ate her pie. Kind of bugs me that all she wants is her pie and the money that I owe her for the one she spotted me before. My other Ate has been trying to hang out with me a lot lately, but sadly I’ve been busy. So grateful for her. Went to dance practice for the first years. Ended at about midnight. Got a campus burrito with my bro and had a short one on one. Then went back to the dorm and just checked on things. 2:17 AM pretty tired. Must remember to register for 2nd half of classes tomorrow.

Woke up at about 11. Checked all of my websites and stuff. Took a cold shower because the heating is still not on since the blackout/blown transformer. Went to dance practice just because it’s for my class and I love them. Pretty fun stuff. Afterward we all cooked food for dinner and it was delicious! Then we just talked and sang some songs and just had fun. I went back to my dorm at about 9:30 PM because I had work to do, but more because I was very tired. I’m going to do all of my work tomorrow because I don’t want to get sick from not resting. Darn morning classes. 11:16 PM. Hope to see you soon!

Hmm What a long, but fun weekend.

Friday-
Woke up at 11. Studied more for Physics. Skipped math to study more. I still didn’t do that well on the quiz. Came back to the dorm packed my stuff. Met up with my phamily and waited for my bro so we could leave for the camping grounds. We camped right next to Julian and the ride there wasn’t that bad. The only bad thing about it was that my bro and my ate were sleeping on my left side and by the time we got there my shoulder hurt really bad. We ate at a pizza place right before the camping ground. It was pretty expensive, but it tasted good. We kept laughing at the kids that were playing around at the other tables. One of the kids took the last of their pizza and held it in the air and yelled “I got the last slice of pizza” It was funny because he sounded so accomplished like nothing could stop him (You just had to be there). Then we went to the camp grounds and it was super cold and cloudy. We helped set up the rest of the tents and waited for everyone else to come. They didn’t come until like 9 or 10. And they still needed to set up more tents. My phamily and a couple others were just chilling in our tent for a while and then we decided to sleep finally. It was super cramped in there because we were fitting seven people in a tent originally meant for four. Thus began one of the worst sleeps of my night. Because my Ate’s didn’t bring sleeping bags. We used my sleeping bag as a cushion for the ground for them. Everyone but me brought a blanket. So not only was I cramped as hell, I was also freezing my entire body off throughout the entire night. I slept for about one hour then for the rest of the night I just tried to be as warm as possible.

Saturday-
I noticed the light outside of our tent at five and at six o clock I went outside to use the bathroom because I couldn’t stand being in that tent anymore. Luckily I caught Beny walking around and we both decided to just go in his car because it’s a lot better than outside. We ended up just sitting their with his heater on for a while. Then breakfast was alright, everyone was still pretty hungry afterwards. After breakfast we broke up into our groups and made a roll call/dance and I really liked ours. After that that we ate lunch which was a bit better. I ate a burger. But it was a burger cooked by a 4th year that worked at in n out before so the burger was actually really delicious. After lunch the first years just hung out with each other. Then we had to have a one on one with a person we didn’t know. I had one with this third year named Sally. She’s really cool. After that we had our group competition thing and we ended up getting 6th place out of like 10. Afterwards we had dinner which was the left overs from lunch and everyone ate a lot. We ended up not going hiking in the agenda because we didn’t have enough time. A good amount of people went anyways in the spare time though. After dinner we had class talks. I was pretty disappointed in the first year’s talk. I expected to talk about something really serious, but we didn’t really talk about it at all. We just played some get to know each other games. After that I went into Beny’s car because it was pretty cold outside again. We just chilled their for a while. Then we noticed everyone outside the fires went away so we decided to check it out. Everyone was having a phamily talk inside the tents. My ate was just sitting near a fire with some other people though. She didn’t really want to talk. And that was pretty disappointing. She was pretty rude while I was with her during the weekend at times. Then our friend bought a ton of glow sticks and started handing them out to everyone and we had a glowstick party thing in the dark night which was really cool. After all the phamilies finished talking. We moved on to tent talks next. It’s basically a serious conversation with the people in your group while inside of a tent. The question we were suppose to answer was “What has led you to where you are in life today” Although I was like the fourth or fifth one to talk, I was the first one to seriously cry. I started crying after the first sentence I said. I explained the story about my mother and the stuff that was still going on right now and I ended up making everyone else cry also. It was really good getting that out though. I needed to do that for months, but I didn’t really have anyone that could help me with that. After the talks and getting closer to people everyone met outside. The sky was so clear and there were so many stars. It was amazing. I even saw a shooting star. However, it was 2 AM and we were all very tired so I got my sleeping bag from the the tent and went to Beny’s car to avoid the disaster that I encountered the previous night. Stupidly, I didn’t tell my phamily because I didn’t think it would be a big deal.

Sunday-
I had a very good sleep. It was like heaven compared to the previous night. I ended up waking up at 10AM when everyone was suppose to wake up at like 8. Haha. Ate breakfast. Met up with my family and they told me about how worried they were that I was gone and didn’t say anything. I felt really bad and apologized. We packed everything up and went to Julian to get some food, specifically some pies. I bought one for my family because I was planning to go back home with Beny after it was over. It was a pretty nice car ride back to UCSD. Chilled and then started silent affirmations. They made most people cry. It made me realize how I’m really going to miss the people graduating. After the event ended we got all of our camping sweaters, took pictures, and dispersed. My non-direct kuya Stephen invited me to hang out with him and his line (I slept with them in our tent) because I think he could sense that I wasn’t close with the family. I decided to go with them and not go home because I could that this could be a very important hang out to go to. First we went to eat in downtown La Jolla. We had plans to eat at barona later that night so we ate light. While we were eating Kuya talked to me about the whole family situations and I told him how I didn’t feel that close to the family and the direct line, especially my ate. My ate can be a bitch and pretty rude sometimes. Not a lot of people like her. They basically told me the whole story about my ate and the family and stuff and they told me that they were always there for me, which I appreciated. We were able to watch the sunset right after, luckily. After that we picked up a friend and went to Mount Solidad to just chill. I ended up cuddling with my indirect Ate Sharlyn (she’s really nice) and my brother Kenneth while Kuya was practicing songs with our friend for their performance this weekend. Afterwards we dropped off Kenneth because he needed to do work and picked up another friend and headed to Barona. I got a Barona card so I could eat at the buffet and we ate a lottttt. Then my ate helped me gamble for the first time. I lost $20 to slots. I will never play slots again in my life. Haha. I will play blackjack. We went back to UCSD because all of us were really tired. Kuya actually fell asleep while driving when we were near campus but luckily it was just for a moment. I chilled in the dorm and talked to the roomies about camping and stuff and ended up sleeping at 5:30AM

That was a great weekend!

Woke up at 7. Went to ECE. I think I finally realized that I really don’t learn almost anything during lecture. It’s a waste of time. I’ll just study more on the weekends I suppose. Came back to the dorm. Took an hour nap. Tried setting up a Chinese Placement Interview with a professor, but she wasn’t there. Had a one on one with another first year named Caitlyn. Apparently during Semi, I told her that I wanted to be close friends with her. Honestly she’s one of the only first year girls that I can manage a conversation with. Everyone else is pretty awkward. We had an interesting talk and somehow airline food even became a topic.

Afterwards I went to help with KP’s shadow day for Suhi. I was kind of amazed at how young they were and how little they knew about the 90’s haha. My friends and I were talking about the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and they were like woah that show is old. >_> Why must I be 19? Haha. It’s always a bit tiring walking around the entire campus and giving tours.

Afterwards I went to buy stuff for camping this weekend. Ernie and I took the bus to target. It took almost 2 hours to get there though because the bus was lagging and it was traffic. We got there. I bought some new swimming trunks just because I can’t recall where I placed my old ones. Bought some nice sleeping bags. We looked like vagabonds or something because we were just caring the sleeping bags on our back with whatever else we bought in the bags in our hand. We ate McDonalds and my stomach kind of hurt after that. Fast food is a no no.

Took the bus back and it was very fast. Got back to campus in about 20 minutes. Almost the time it takes for a car to travel there. I went to choir practice and it was pretty fun as always.

Came back to the dorm and my friends wanted to watch a movie so I was waiting for them to start. Normally Kevin picks the movie and loads it, but tonight he was just playing starcraft. He didn’t want to start because he though 10 was too early in comparison to when we usually would start (11 or 12). We all told him that we had other stuff to do afterwards, but he wouldn’t quit with the starcraft. Then he called me out by saying that I should’ve done my work earlier in the day. I got really irritated when he said that because pretty much all he does this quarter is play starcraft and nothing else and he had the balls to tell me that I need to set my priorities. He’s the one who told me that we should watch a movie like we usually do and he wants me to prioritize the movie over my work? I was just really irritated. The fact that I was pretty tired from going everywhere added to the irritation.

Went back to my room and had a nice breakdown. Studied for physics for 5 hours while doing laundry. I only went over one of the two chapters that on the quiz tomorrow though. I’m hoping that I can go over the other one tomorrow morning before the quiz while I skip math as usual. This was the first time I did laundry in the dorm as a college student. It only took 2 quarters and 8 weeks.

I finished math homework rather quickly. Thank goodness I’m good at math. It took me 2 hours rather than the usual 3 or 4. I’m pretty darn exhausted. I need this camping trip. Hopefully it will be a real breather. 6:18 AM. Hurray I wasn’t awake for 24 hours!

Woke up at 11. Studied more for math. Ate a breakfast burrito from the dining hall. Took my last midterm. It was pretty easy. Went to physics lectures and they weren’t boring at least. Had a one on one with one of my Ate’s at the Bistro and I enjoyed it very much. Went to KP senior auctions and it was really funny. One of the seniors even got sold for $215! Afterwards got korean bbq with beny, diana and rachel. Then we just chilled. I have a very busy day tomorrow. 1:52AM.

Woke up at 7. Ate a PB&J Sandwich for breakfast. Went to ECE. I believe it was almost a complete waste of time. For half the class the professor was deriving an equation that we wouldn’t be using. I finally realized that the lecture for that class is almost useless. He really doesn’t help me learn. And how does he truly expect us to be able to pay attention this early. My goodness I was so frustrated this morning. Haha.

Came back to the dorm. And realized that I need to meet with the chinese professor on thursday so I can set an interview for my class placement. Took a nap until 12. Woke up. Showered. Ate Lunch. Started studying for ECE and continued doing homework. Reina came over. Ended up taking a short nap together. Continued studying. Took my quiz. Failed it. Very frustrated. I must go to tutoring hours.

Went to Lab. We finished 40 minutes early so I was pretty happy. My turn to do the lab report though. Luckily I have memorial day to do it. Went back to the dorm. Took a quick break. Then studied for my Math midterm tomorrow with Cesar. Very tiring stuff. Got a burrito. Bought stuff from the market for my friends. Still tired. Mmm. I feel pretty confident with the midterm tomorrow. Just a little more studying tomorrow morning and that should do it. I wish everything was as simple to me as Math. Sometimes I feel like switching my major to math. 2:51AM. 3 more week. Just 3 more. Looking forward to some one on ones though.

Woke up at 10. Didn’t do much though. Researched some stuff for what I needed to do this week. Got brunch with Ernie and Amber. Rushed to the other side of campus to go mentoring at Morse for the last time of the year. It’s pretty chill. Came back to the dorm. Read for ECE. Got tired of reading for ECE. Started doing the homework. Sho hard to do now. I’m about 1/2 way done. The only reason I stopped is because I need to look at a past chapter to figure out how to do the new problems and I’m too tired and distracted to do it right now. 1:18AM. It’s going to be a tough week.
